  • 10 ounces of beef
  • 1 tbsp +1 tsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 of egg white
  • 4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 small size of onion
  • 1 tbsp of cumin powder
  • 1 tb chili garlic sauce
  • 5 pieces of dried hot chilies
  • Oil to fry the beef

Slice the beef into 4 mm thick pieces.

Mix together the soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, salt, pepper, egg white, and cornstarch.

Mix beef into the soy sauce mixture, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated. Let sit for 20 minutes.

Heat oil on high heat in wok or large skillet until shimmering.

Lay beef in a single layer in pan and fry for 12 minutes until browned. Flip each piece over and fry for 12 minutes more.

Remove beef and set aside.

Add onion and stir fry until it is transparent. Add garlic, chilis, chili sauce, and cumin. Stir fry for 1 minute. Add back the beef and stir to evenly combine everything.

Serve with white rice.
